John N. Hansen Handheld Games 77801 Editorial Review
The Mega Screen Electronic Poker Game offers seven different variations of poker, including Draw, Two's Wild, Bonus Poker, Double Bonus Poker, Double/Double Bonus Poker, Jokers Wild, and Double Jokers Wild. Its screen is black on white with good-sized characters, but it is not backlit, which may be a problem in low light. The device requires AA batteries and comes with no operating instructions or warranty information. According to customer feedback, the game is an excellent time killer and suitable for a wide range of ages, including seniors with mobility issues, but a lack of instructions can make it challenging to operate. The buttons are big enough to push, making it easy to hold; however, some customers complain that the screen is too small, with poor contrast in some models. On the downside, some users reported that the score does not always tally correctly. It sometimes gives credit for something that you don't have or vice versa. Although some customers reported long-term durability and a good working order, others noted that the product's quality was questionable, with some lights failing, and their purchased units had to be replaced a couple of times due to issues.
