Although the sound quality is great, it's not "night and day" better and doesn't offer double the volume. The SoundCore 2 has double the watts of the previous model but would need a pair of 30W speakers to double the volume. The speaker can be connected to a device via a male to male aux cable or a USB-C to male aux cable. The speaker has a durable rubber cover and excellent battery life but doesn't pair well with other SoundCore 2 speakers. The build quality is solid with large buttons on top for ease of use. While great for the price, audiophiles may find that it falls short in terms of depth and quality in comparison to higher-end speakers.
