The O'Lipfa ruler with a lip edge is a good option for measuring and marking guide lines for accurate cutting of fabrics and other materials. The ruler is transparent with markings for laying on the fabric to make straight cuts. It also has a lip on the short end of the ruler above the 24" line that can be used to square it using the lip to catch the square edge of the cutting mat, giving extra stability. The lip is rolled over, making it effective. The ruler is made in the USA and doesn't have a metal edge to protect it when using an exacto knife, but it hasn't caused any damage with rotary cutters.
