Perko Catches 1021DP0BLK Editorial Review

**** The Perko 1021DP0BLK Plastic Elbow Catch has garnered a mix of feedback from boating enthusiasts, primarily centered on its functionality and material composition. Many users have found this product to be an ideal replacement for their aging boat latches, highlighting its ease of installation and alignment. A common sentiment is its durability, with several reviewers noting that it holds up well over time, suggesting that it could last for decades in the right conditions. While some have expressed satisfaction, particularly for older models—citing that this catch effectively serves as an OEM quality substitute—there are concerns about the material. Several customers were surprised to discover that the catch is made of plastic rather than metal, which led to some disappointment given the imagery associated with the product. Additionally, there were mentions of wear and tear on the latches over time, with a preference for exploring more robust materials such as bronze for future replacements. In general, the Perko catch is seen as a valuable and cost-effective solution for boat owners needing replacements for their latches, though some look for alternatives that might provide a longer-lasting option without the frequent need for replacement. **
