The Tromba plastic cornet has received mixed reviews. Some customers were satisfied with the sound and the design, with one praising the horn as a "great little horn for traveling and wanting to keep practicing when out of town." Despite initial issues with the third valve, it eventually worked fine after the customer "removed it & put it back in." Another recreational player appreciated the valve action, stating that it "worked quite well" with a metal cornet mouthpiece. However, most customers had pitch and intonation issues with the horn. One reviewer complained that the G partial was a "good quarter tone low." Another customer warned that "all partials from E up were uncharacteristically sharp," making the instrument "nearly useless in any ensemble situation." Several other customers reported issues with leaks, severe pitch problems, and poor quality mouthpieces. On a positive note, the Tromba cornet is light and easy to hold, comes with a cleaning kit and stand, and is affordably priced.
