Lincoln Electric Arc Start Switch, Model# K814

**** The Lincoln Electric Arc Start Switch, Model# K814, has received mixed feedback from customers who have had the opportunity to use it in various welding applications. A Consistent highlight among reviewers is its convenience, particularly in situations where using a pedal is impractical. Many users find the switch easy to engage with one hand, enhancing operational efficiency and comfort during use. This feature is particularly beneficial for tasks that require quick access to the arc activation, and customers appreciate how it improves their overall welding experience. However, critiques have surfaced regarding the design aspects of the switch. Users have identified issues related to its mounting capabilities on the gun, with calls for enhancements to allow for a more secure fit. Additionally, the size of the on/off button poses challenges, especially when wearing gloves, which can hinder the ease of turning the switch on or off. Some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the ergonomics of the switch, noting that it is not as comfortable to hold for extended periods as they would like. Furthermore, the inability to lock the switch in the "on" position has been flagged as a significant drawback, particularly in demanding situations. In summary, while the Lincoln Electric Arc Start Switch offers undeniable benefits in terms of usability and comfort, its design flaws — particularly concerning mounting, button accessibility, and locking mechanisms — have prevented it from receiving universally positive feedback. **
