The OttLite 24 Watt Floor Lamp with Flexible Neck and Weighted Base is a powerful lamp that simulates the light of the sun, making it ideal for people who need sharp light for their crafts such as quilting, needlework and fine crafting. The bulb gets hot like any other bulb but the casing around it does not. Its head is 10.5 inches and has an adjustable arm that can be curved down to around 15 inches. The lamp does not have a magnifying glass and the customer has to contact the manufacturer to get replacement parts. The lamp is recommended for crafters who need to work under natural light, but not as functional as a reading lamp because of its long light arm. Assembly may require a socket wrench. The lamp has received positive feedback from customers except for a few who found it too bright for reading.
