Deep Silver Games 895678002056 Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of Gravity - Nintendo DS** Gravity for the Nintendo DS brings a puzzle experience that promises intelligence and creativity but has proven divisive among gamers. At its core, the game invites players to solve physics-based puzzles by utilizing a selection of objects to trigger goals within various levels, reminiscent of classic games like *The Incredible Machine* and *Crayon Physics*. However, while the game's premise starts strong, several recurring issues have plagued the overall experience. A significant point of contention is the control scheme, which heavily relies on the DS's touch screen. Players have expressed frustration with the sensitivity and response time, leading to accidental missteps such as bringing up the object palette when attempting to pick up items. This inConsistency can disrupt the flow of gameplay, detracting from the puzzle-solving enjoyment. The gameplay itself, while initially engaging, tends to lose its appeal after a while. Puzzles that start off requiring thoughtful strategies often devolve into repetitiveness, with many players finding a lack of variety and challenge as they progress. Some reviewers noted that the satisfaction of completing a puzzle quickly wanes, leaving them feeling unfulfilled. Despite these criticisms, the game has its defenders who appreciate its addictive qualities. Many players found themselves hooked, enjoying the mix of simplicity and complexity in puzzles, which can range from straightforward to more intricate designs. The appeal seems to be especially strong with younger audiences, although some younger players may find the challenges too difficult. Ultimately, Gravity offers a unique concept that is well-received by some but fails to deliver a Consistently enjoyable experience for many. The mix of frustrating controls and a lack of variety in puzzles are significant drawbacks that could deter potential players, while the game's core idea still captures the imagination of those willing to give it a shot. **Pros and Cons** **
