It is proven effective against viruses, bacteria, Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Each tablet is individually wrapped and sealed. When left in their sealed packets and stored at temperatures between 60 and 86°F, tablets should remain effective for up to four years. Exposure to heat, humidity, moisture and air will reduce the tablets' effectiveness.Potable Aqua® has no aftertaste; it actually improves the taste and odor of water. One tablet treats 1 quart of water. A four hour dwell-time recommended for full effectiveness.Potable Aqua® Chlorine Dioxide Tablets are an ideal product for campers, hikers, kayakers, world travelers, emergency organizations and others seeking a highly effective way to make questionable water suitable for drinking.
