Prince Log Splitter Detent Valve - Model Number LS-3000-1
The Prince Log Splitter Detent Valve is a well-built valve suitable for open center systems. It has a 4-way, 3-position configuration and comes with a handle that can be rotated 180 degrees. The valve has three mounting holes measuring 4 5/8" x 3" on center and 3/4" input and output fittings. This valve is not stackable and does not retract cylinders automatically. However, after moving the lever to the retract position, it remains there until the cylinder is retracted. The valve has 1/2" working ports, and its work ports are 2.5" center to center. The valve is 2.5" thick, 9" long (excluding the handle), and 4 1/4" wide. The valve plugs are fitted with female hex end pipe plugs. However, some customers have complained that the pipe plugs used to plug the ports are glued in place with thread lock and then powder-coated. It can be challenging to remove the pipe plugs to find the right wrench size to fit them properly. Overall, this is a robust valve that works great in log splitters. It is a superior product compared to other cheaper valves available on Amazon and is an exact match for many broken wood splitter valves.
