Dorman Flex Couplers 31000 Editorial Review
The Dorman 31000 Steering Coupling Disc Kit has garnered a mixed but generally positive reception among users who have undertaken the task of replacing the steering coupling on their classic Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. Many reviewers have successfully utilized the kit for various models, finding it to be a relatively straightforward repair with some modifications required. Those who tackled the installation shared their experiences, noting that while the kit often works as a direct replacement, there were instances where fitment issues arose. For example, several users reported needing to modify the holes in the rubber rag joint for proper alignment, and some had to purchase shorter screws due to length discrepancies. However, even with these challenges, most users felt that the steering improvement after installation justified the additional effort. Customers pointed out that the kit often requires a bit of patience and resourcefulness, especially for older models that may have unique specifications. Many described the installation process as manageable, typically completing it within a couple of hours, provided they had the right tools on hand. Some, however, cautioned that results can vary depending on the specific vehicle make and model. In conclusion, the Dorman 31000 Steering Coupling Disc Kit is a viable solution for those seeking to remedy steering issues in older Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. While some modifications may be necessary, the overall sentiment is that with determination and a bit of handy work, it can significantly enhance the driving experience. **
