The Tanita digital scale runs on two CR2032 Lithium batteries and does not require an adapter plug. The scale gives out “error 6” message when overweight and requires 200 weight calibration. The 1479J2 and 1479J look identical, except that the screen on the 1479J2 lights up. The scale ships from Washington Stat, and for any food or plant material weighing, Tanita is enough. Reviews suggest the Tanita digital scale to be a reliable, accurate, and sturdy product. One customer who had used it for over a decade highly recommends it, while another who bought it twice found it highly reliable without any issues. However, one customer had issues with the authenticity as it had no QR code, while another complained of it being highly inaccurate, even after repeated calibrations.
