The Stories of Gilgamesh contain the stories of the third great Sumerian king, who is referred to as god in various texts. These stories consist of short Gilgamesh stories that were written down before the Epic of Gilgamesh was formed and are sometimes the source of it. The full texts of Gilgamesh and Agga quoted in Sumerian, Gilgamesh and Enkidu and the Other World, Gilgamesh and Huwawa, Gilgamesh and the Bull of Heaven, Death of Gilgamesh and The Letter of Gilgamesh written in Babylonian were written for the first time. Hasan Ali Yücel in the Classics Series with translations from his original language.Selim F. Adalı: He studied Classical and Ancient Age at the University of Sydney. He conducts scientific studies on Mesopotamian literature, religious texts and the Assyrian Empire; He teaches Babylonian, Sumerian, Hittite, Ancient Hebrew and Ancient Greek. He works as a lecturer at Ankara Social Sciences University, Department of History. Ali T. Görgü: He graduated from Ankara University DTCF Department of Linguistics. He completed his master's degree in the field of Education and Training of Turkish. He continued his research in Austria for a while with a scholarship from the Austrian state. His stories and reviews were published in some magazines. He works as a lecturer at Bilkent University, Faculty of Humanities and Letters. Show more
